What Belongs on a Good Business Website?
Many businesses wonder what content their website needs. We show which pages truly matter and what to pay attention to.
Inhaltsverzeichnis
You've decided to get your own website. But what actually needs to be on it? Not every site needs 20 subpages. But there are a few things every good business website should have.
The Homepage
Your homepage is your digital storefront. Within seconds, it must be clear who you are, what you do, and why someone should stay.
Key elements
- A clear sentence describing your offering
- A prominent button for the next step (contact, quote, appointment)
- A professional first impression (design, photos, language)
The Services Page
This is where you explain what you offer. Not in technical jargon, but in a way your customers understand. Each service deserves its own section with a brief description.
Tip: Write from your customer's perspective. Not "We offer X" but "You get Y".
The About Page
People buy from people. Show who's behind the business. A photo, a few sentences about your story, maybe a quote. This builds trust.
The Contact Page
Make it easy for customers to reach you. A contact form, your phone number, your email address, and your physical address. The fewer barriers, the more inquiries you'll get.
Legal Pages (Imprint and Privacy Policy)
Required by law in Germany. Both pages must be complete and up to date. Mistakes here can lead to legal warnings.
What You Can Leave Out
Not every website needs a blog, image gallery, or FAQ page. Start lean and expand as needed. Fewer pages with good content are better than many empty subpages.
Our Advice
Focus on the five core pages: homepage, services, about, contact, and legal information. That gives you a solid foundation you can build on anytime.
